Ray Green
Board of Directors
Ray Green serves as the My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Sacramento Community Coordinator for The Center at Sierra Health Foundation, a nonprofit in Sacramento, California, that believes every person in California should have the opportunity to live a healthy life and strives to eradicate health inequities across the state. In his role, Ray focuses on addressing violence prevention and intervention, as well as expanding mentoring opportunities in Sacramento.
Prior to joining The Center at Sierra Health Foundation, Ray served as the Programs Director at Roberts Family Development Center, a nonprofit in Sacramento, where he led health and educational improvement efforts such as Sacramento’s first-ever Freedom School. He also provided critical leadership for MBK Sacramento, Healing the Hood and the Black Child Legacy Campaign, which aims to reduce African American child death in Sacramento County.
Ray graduated from the University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Exercise Biology. He is a fellow of Sierra Health Foundation’s Health Leadership Program, and has received numerous awards for his service to youth and families, including the 2020 Sacramento Kings Dream All Star Local Leader award. Ray is a proud husband, father, minister and community leader who comes to this work with great knowledge, passion and commitment for youth and families in all communities.
